It is normal to experience slight redness or mild swelling in the treated area for a few hours after treatment. This is a normal response and usually resolves quickly.
Applying a cool compress may help soothe the skin.
Protect the treated area from sun exposure for at least 1–2 weeks after treatment.
If the area is exposed to sunlight, apply broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher to prevent irritation or pigmentation changes.
For the first 24–48 hours, avoid activities that may irritate the skin such as:

After treatment, the hair will begin to shed naturally over the next 1–2 weeks.

Use gentle skincare products until the skin has fully recovered.
Moisturizing the treated area helps support the healing process.
Choose gentle, fragrance-free moisturizers to keep the skin comfortable.

This is a normal part of the laser hair removal process.
Laser hair removal works best when treatments follow the recommended schedule, typically every 4–6 weeks depending on the treatment area.
If you have any questions after your laser hair removal appointment, our team at Lume Laser Studio is always happy to help.
Our goal is to ensure every client enjoys a safe, comfortable, and effective treatment experience.
